3TOP is a professional alkaline mouthwash manufacturer, this article tells you about the production process of alkaline mouthwash. The production of alkaline mouthwash begins with the precise proportioning and preparation of the raw materials. First of all, the main raw materials need to be prepared, including purified water, sodium bicarbonate, sodium chloride, glycerin, flavorings, and preservatives and other auxiliary materials required. Before preparation, all the raw materials need to be strictly inspected to ensure that they meet the pharmaceutical production standards. The preparation of purified water, in particular, requires multiple filtration, ion exchange, ultraviolet disinfection and other processes to ensure that the water quality meets the required purity and sterility standards.
Preparation of the alkaline substrate solution
The first step in the production process is the preparation of the alkaline substrate solution. Weighed sodium bicarbonate is slowly dissolved in purified water, and during the mixing process, the temperature is strictly controlled between 20-25°C, while the pH is monitored to ensure that the solution is appropriately alkaline. Sodium chloride is then added to regulate the osmotic pressure, a step that needs to be precisely controlled as it directly affects the preservative properties and the feel of the product. The mixing process continues for 30-45 minutes until all the ingredients are completely dissolved and a clear solution is formed.
Mixing of the functional additives

The third step is the mixing of the functional additives. Glycerin (for moisturizing), preservatives (for storage stability) and other functional ingredients are added to the base solution. The addition of each ingredient requires strict adherence to the formulation ratios and continuous mixing during the addition process to ensure uniform dispersion. The key to this stage is to control the order of addition and mixing speed to avoid sedimentation or stratification. After the addition is completed, an intermediate inspection is required to ensure that the pH value, concentration and other indicators of the solution meet the requirements.
Treatment before filling
The fourth stage of production is the treatment before filling. The blended solution is filtered through a precision filter to remove any tiny particles that may be present. Then sterilization is carried out, heat sterilization or aseptic filtration can be used to ensure that the product meets the sterility requirements. At this stage, we also need to carry out the final quality inspection, including pH value determination, content determination, microbial limit checks, etc., only after all the indicators are qualified to enter the filling process.
Filling and packaging
The final stage is filling and packaging. The product is filled into cleaned and sterilized containers using a fully automatic filling line, and at the same time, the weight is checked online to ensure that the filling volume meets the standard. Immediately after filling, the container is sealed and capped, and labeled with a spray code. The packaging process is carried out in a clean room with strict control of environmental conditions. Finished products need to be sampled and inspected, and can only be put into storage after passing the test. The whole production process needs to be operated in accordance with GMP standards to ensure that the production environment, equipment, personnel and other aspects of quality management requirements, and ultimately ensure the quality and safety of the product.
